This opening conversation or “studio visit” of Network Narratives (#netnarr) is a consideration of literature in the digital age.
What is electronic literature? Where can we discover it? What narrative genres have emerged based on the affordances of new media tools? What role might transmedia storytelling play in our school environments?
We introduce the Electronic Literature Collection, sharing with the audience how to navigate the collection, as well as the general history of the collection. We also to do some e-lit text “walkthroughs” in order to share the power of this kind of art with a generalist audience. Let’s chat about the new affordances that come with digital storytelling in a new media environment.
