Is it possible to teach and learn things like paper circuits, robotics, and how to use a 3D printer through a Google Hangout? YOUmedia’s going to try.

The YOUmedia Learning Lab Network is launching a Google Hangout series to introduce educators to different tools and materials that educators in libraries and museums use and love. The first one is about copper tape circuits, and will take place on Friday, May 22 at 10 a.m. PDT/1 p.m. EDT. The goal is to make it so everyone, especially newbies, can learn and follow along.

Here’s what to expect: 30 minutes of how-to, followed by 30 minutes of participants making, talking, and sharing potential uses for the tools, as well as experience using them in library and museum settings.
