From software tools to facilitation guides, these toolkits have everything a librarian needs to run their own Learning Circle, a lightly facilitated study group for learners who want to take online courses with their peers in a community space. This resource is brought to you by Peer to Peer University (P2PU), an Educator Innovator partner, and leverages the Connected Learning principles.
“These Learning Circles were designed to rise to the challenges of online education: low retention in online courses, limited access for disadvantaged populations, and the question of how public libraries can scale access to online learning content.
Working with facilitators, librarians, and course participants, P2PU has developed a Learning Circles toolkit, complete with software tools, facilitation guides, a list of curated courses, and marketing templates that make it easy for librarians to organize Learning Circles at their branch with little additional help needed.”
