Thursday, April 21, 2016 4:00pm - Thursday, April 21, 2016 5:00pm
In this hangout, participants from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and the National Writing Project discuss the importance of learning about under-reported challenges, both nationally and across the globe, and understanding multiple perspectives and opinions on these issues. Participants will discuss strategies for making cross-cultural and cross-regional connections in the classroom, as well as Pulitzer’s Lesson Builder, a digital tool and a supporting community of educators, that makes creating and sharing lesson plans around Pulitzer Center reporting easy. This hangout is part of a special series on News, Literacy and the Digital Age being produced in connection to Letters to the Next President 2.0. It will also be co-streamed at connectedlearning.tv.
